We would like to offer our sincere thank you to attendees, exhibitors and volunteers that participated in the Crop Growing Expo in January. The event was very successful, and we are already in the process of making plans for 2025. We want to take this opportunity to inform you of some additional news for the next Expo.
We had a lot of interest in the cut flower seminars at the last Expo. We have met with a group who are very passionate about providing education and support to the cut flower industry, and we have agreed to combine our efforts. This means that the 2025 Expo will include more seminars and exhibitors that will focus on cut flowers. We will, however, continue to focus on produce, greenhouse and nursery producers, just as we did in previous years. So, placing more emphasis on cut flowers will not take anything away from other aspects of the Expo.
We have also been faced with making a decision about the facilities. We have clearly outgrown the facilities at Solanco, and we do need to relocate. Prior to making this decision, we invited comments and ideas from exhibitors, speakers and attendees. While there are some who prefer the Solanco location, the overwhelming consensus was that we need to move.
Moving to a new facility will enable us to keep our attendees warm, dry and safe, while also providing quality food without long waiting lines.
We want to assure you that our mission has not changed, our goals remain the same as before, and we want to focus on adhering to the unique cultural traditions that so many of us value. Please know that our focus remains on providing practical information to small and midsize producers.
Please review our mission statement located on the other side of this letter and know that we intend to honor it.
The Board of Directors has made the decision to move the 2025 Crop Growing Expo to Spooky Nook, located at 75 Champ Blvd, Manheim, PA 17545, on Jan. 15 & 16. We have made arrangements to have our own part of the complex designated for the Expo, including our own side entrance. This will help to keep the Expo separate from other activities at Spooky Nook.
